Hey everyone! Finn here, back on the blog with some exciting updates! Today marks one step closer to our video going live, and I couldn't be more pumped. Now, onto today's mission: finding the perfect song. With time running short, getting permissions for a song seemed like a stretch. But thanks to Renato's help, we stumbled upon "Phoenix" by Scott Buckley on YouTube. It's a chill instrumental piece that'll slide right into the background of our early scenes. With the song locked in, it was time for the real fun – syncing it up with our footage. Renato and Conner dove deep into the process, tweaking timings and transitions for hours. It was a challenge, sure, but seeing everything click into place was beyond rewarding."Phoenix" turned out to be a gem, blending seamlessly with our visuals while adding that extra emotional punch. It's been quite the journey, from brainstorming to filming and now editing. But working alongside pals like Conner, Renato, Isaiah, and Leo has been the real highlight. Their input not only leveled up the video but also made the whole experience a blast. As we inch closer to wrapping this project, I can't help but feel grateful for the creativity we've shared. And to all of you following along – thanks a ton! Get ready to feast your eyes on the final masterpiece tomorrow!

Peer review manuscripts - guidelines on how to peer review

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! We are nearing the end of my final project, and today's post is all about seeking a fresh perspective on my video. While it's almost complete, there's still a crucial element missing, and I needed an outside opinion to pinpoint it. So, I turned to my friend Leo, who's got a sharp eye for editing. During class, I showed Leo the video, and his feedback was invaluable. He really connected with the emotions we're trying to convey – a mix of humor, determination, and courage. Overall, he thought the video was solid, but he suggested a few tweaks to smoothen the transitions between clips. One thing Leo pointed out was the need for another song at the beginning of the film. Up until the training montage, there's no background music, just the ambient sounds around Renato. Leo made a great point – a background track could amplify those emotions even more. With the submission deadline closing in, finding a non-copyrighted song that fits seamlessly will be a challenge. But I'm confident it'll elevate the video. That's it for today's blog – short and sweet. Tomorrow's post will be jam-packed with updates as I implement these changes and more. Stay tuned for the penultimate blog before the big reveal!
